This is our most popular method of sale with over 1500 online auctions conducted by us during 2007. Live auctions are conducted on site or at a local venue. They are staged to create a competitive bidding environment to maximize realization.

Private Treaty/Negotiated Sales

Sale by Private Treaty is an important transaction mechanism in our business because it provides a simple and direct way for a company to liquidate its assets fast. A Private Treaty is a negotiated sale where the price agreed between the seller and the buyer is binding. Fixed Date Private Treaty sales have a defined end date to the sale, whereas a simple Private Treaty does not.

There is also the Sealed Bid sale format, whereby potential buyers are asked to submit their bids at a pre-defined time. We conduct each of these Private Treaty sale formats on behalf of our clients and feature them on our website in the same way as our online auctions with full details of each item, including photos, available to potential buyers. We also have a dedicated Private Treaty team that deals with all enquiries and negotiations, facilitating rapid movement of these assets for our clients. Items that do not sell by Private Treaty may be featured in subsequent online auctions.
